Bell Laboratories, a major center of innovation and scientific research in the 20th century, flies under the radar for how important it actually was. Most young people living today can hardly imagine a world without computers and telephones, much less understand the steps that were taken to make this world possible. 

As the research and development wing of AT&T, Bell Labs’ innovated and invented an immense amount of technology that shaped the world we live in. Their practice was guided by creativity, collaboration, and curiosity, qualities all people have the potential to embrace. 

This exhibit demonstrates to visitors that curiosity, creativity, and collaboration have the ability to change the world, taking people through the history, stories, and innovations that came out of this way of thinking. Everything starts somewhere, and most of the world we live in today can be traced back to the real people and stories of Bell Labs.
